One-day Heli-hikes
The Cline river valley is a magical place in winter - abundant wildlife telling their stories in the snow, broad valleys with open vistas of high mountain peaks, and gentle forest trails or open river valley routes. It is unsurpassed with the spectacular beauty of the Cline Canyon, with its strikingly high, narrow and colourful walls atop a floor of winding, frozen river ice.
Above this historic valley is a rugged world of alpine peaks, snow and ice. We welcome days of giant adventure with experienced guests, heli-ski touring on the Wilson Icefield, Cline glacier, or other alpine venues... or even heli-accessed waterfall ice climbing!
During the winter we offer custom pricing based on current helicopter availability. Please call us!
The Confluence Heli-Snowshoe
We explore the Cline River valley, sometimes up into Waterfalls Creek, often following wildlife tracks, enjoy a gourmet lunch and hot drinks around a campfire, and two scenic 6-minute helicopter flights.
$429/person based on 3 or more passengers, $589/person for exclusive trips for 2 when helicopters are available*
Icefield Escapades Heli-Ski Tour
Join a fully certified mountain guide for a heli-assisted ski tour on the Mt Wilson Icefield or the slopes of Mt Cline. This trip is dependent on good snow conditions!
$1099/person for 2, $899/person for 3 people or more*
Cline Gallery Canyon Ice Walk
A 150' high and extremely narrow gallery of frozen ice sculptures, the Cline Gallery attracts skilled ice climbers from around the world. We walk 4 km on or alongside the frozen creek on the canyon floor, with strap-on ice cleats, enjoy a gourmet lunch and hot drinks, and catch a helicopter back home.
$329/person based on 3 or more passengers, $469/person for exclusive trips for two when helicopters are available*
Cox Hill Heli-snowshoe in Kananaskis Country
Lifting off from Kananaskis Heli-Tours, forty-five minutes west of Calgary, we explore the front-ranges of the Canadian Rockies. A 20-minute snowshoe to a small peak rewards us with distant views of the city of Calgary, then contouring above some sunny south-facing cliffs gives close-up views of the main ranges of Kananaskis Country. We often see tracks of moose here, as well as elk, deer, and pine marten. Enjoy a gourmet lunch and hot drinks, and two scenic 6-minute helicopter flights.
$429/person based on 3 or more passengers, $589/person for exclusive trips for 2*
* Prices are per person, 5% GST will be added, and all trips are subject to a fuel surcharge.
